A unique illuminated Cloud Touch Control user interface (patent pending) replaces conventional pushbuttons and toggle switches. Microprocessor-controlled, high-reliability telecom relays handle all signal and function switching for significantly shorter signal paths and reduced EMI sensitivity, while the illuminated controls make preamp status visible from a distance or in low-light environments. A Blink-Delay feature protects against accidental activation of phantom power and high-gain modes.
Housed in the industry-standard API 500 series module format, the TRUE BLUE 520 delivers up to +76dB of total available gain via a continuous detented gain control with dual gain ranges. FET-based DI IN and THRU jacks act as a signal split for simple system integration – route your instrument to the preamp core while passing the signal through to an amp, additional DI or another 500 series module. The continuously variable high-pass filter offers precise low-frequency attenuation from 25Hz to 420Hz, ideal for taming proximity effect and low-mid buildup, with response extending down to 6Hz when disengaged.
