The MOTU 16A is a next-generation 32×34 audio interface that connects to Mac, PC or iOS over 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 4 / USB4, delivering 66 simultaneous channels of high-end conversion. ESS Sabre32 DAC technology provides 125 dB of dynamic range at up to 24-bit/192kHz with round-trip latency as low as 1.8 ms, making it a powerful converter and expansion hub for large or immersive studios.

Sixteen DC-coupled TRS inputs and sixteen DC-coupled TRS outputs handle line-level sources, outboard processors and modular synth control voltage, while two banks of 8-channel optical I/O and word clock in/out/thru add ADAT/SMUX expansion and rock-solid digital sync. A front-panel headphone output with source select rounds out the analog complement.

Onboard 32-bit floating-point DSP powers a 64-channel, 32-bus mixer with reverb, EQ, gate and compression, managed from the CueMix Pro app via USB, Wi-Fi or the network. Two Gigabit AVB ports daisy-chain up to eight 16A or 848 units for hundreds of networked channels, and twin 3.9-inch RGB TFT displays, loopback recording and A/B/C monitoring with talkback finish a rugged 1U design.
