The MOTU M4 is a 4-in/4-out USB-C audio interface that brings studio-quality sound to the desktop in a compact, bus-powered package. The same ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC technology used in far pricier interfaces delivers 120 dB of dynamic range, a measured -129 dBu EIN on the mic inputs and class-leading 2.5 ms round-trip latency at up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Two front-panel combo XLR/TRS inputs handle mics, line sources and hi-Z guitars, joined by two rear line inputs for synths, drum machines or outboard gear. Four balanced 1/4-inch DC-coupled outputs with mirrored RCA outs, an ESS-driven headphone output and a front-panel blend knob give flexible monitoring and routing, while MIDI I/O, driver loopback and a full-color 160×120 LCD — unique in its class — round out a feature set built for musicians, podcasters and producers.
