The MOTU micro express is a compact, bus-powered version of the MIDI Express XT, packing professional MIDI and SMPTE features into a portable half-rack chassis. It provides 4 MIDI inputs, 6 MIDI outputs and 96 MIDI channels with ultra-low-latency, sub-millisecond timing to any USB-equipped Mac or Windows computer.

As a professional-grade SMPTE synchronizer, the micro express generates and converts time code in all frame formats (24, 25, 29.97 drop/non-drop and 30) with jam sync and adjustable freewheeling for glitch-free lock. MIDI routing, merging and muting are managed in ClockWorks software or recalled from 16 one-touch presets (8 factory, 8 user), and the unit runs standalone without a computer. Bus-powered over USB, it goes anywhere and expands simply by adding more MOTU MIDI interfaces.
