MOTU MachFive 3 CompUpgrade universal sampler

The MachFive 3 Competitive Upgrade brings MOTU's universal virtual sampler to owners of a qualifying competing product at a reduced price — functionally identical to the full version. It spans the four worlds of sound design — samples, loops, synthesis and effects — in a single unified window, running standalone or as a VST, Audio Units, RTAS or AAX plug-in on macOS and Windows, with a 45GB library of instruments, loops and effects.

Its defining strength is universality: MachFive 3 directly reads virtually every major hardware and software sample format — including Kontakt, Giga, EXS24, HALion, Akai, Roland, Kurzweil, Ensoniq, SampleCell, REX, ACID and Apple Loops — with no time-consuming conversion. A deep scripting engine models not just the sound of an instrument but its playing techniques, as heard in the included Telematic electric-guitar instrument.

Cutting-edge IRCAM technology powers time-stretching, pitch-shifting and granular synthesis, while modular synthesis offers up to 128 samples per key with two filters, eight LFOs, six envelopes and unlimited modulation per object. The LoopLab beat-slicer reworks REX, ACID and Apple Loops on the fly, and 47 built-in effects — including convolution reverb — finish sounds in the box. An 8GB Xtreme FX bonus library adds thousands of cinematic textures.
