The MOTU 112D is one of the most flexible digital interfaces ever built — a router, format converter, standalone mixer and AVB gateway in a single 1U rack space. It connects to a Mac or PC via Thunderbolt, AVB Ethernet or class-compliant USB 2.0, handling 112 simultaneous channels of digital audio with near-zero latency.

Three 8-channel banks of AES/EBU (24 channels) and three banks of ADAT optical (24 channels) sit alongside 64 channels of MADI, letting the 112D convert freely between AES/EBU, ADAT, MADI, AVB and computer audio. It operates as a 64-channel MADI-to-AVB converter with flexible routing and splitting, and word clock I/O keeps everything locked to house sync.

A 32-bit floating-point DSP engine powers a 48-channel console-style mixer with 12 stereo busses, modeled British EQs, LA-2A-style compression and classic reverb, all controllable from the MOTU Pro Audio Control web app over Wi-Fi or wired network. Daisy-chain additional MOTU AVB interfaces over standard Ethernet to stream hundreds of channels across a low-latency network.
