The MOTU 24Ai packs 24 channels of high-quality balanced analog input into a single rack space, using the same industry-recognised converter design as MOTU's 1248, 8M and 16A. All 24 inputs are supplied on DB-25 D-sub and 12-pin Phoenix connectors for clean, flexible wiring into studio and installation systems, with digitally controlled trim and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz.
Three 8-channel banks of ADAT optical add 24 more digital channels (72 total), and the 24Ai doubles as a 24-channel optical expander for other gear. It connects to a computer over class-compliant USB 2.0 or AVB Ethernet, and a 324 × 24 backlit LCD provides detailed metering and menu access on the front panel.
An onboard 48-channel DSP mixer with 12 stereo busses brings modeled British console EQ, LA-2A-style compression and classic reverb, all controllable from the MOTU Pro Audio Control web app over Wi-Fi or network. Daisy-chain additional MOTU AVB interfaces over Cat-5e to build a low-latency network streaming hundreds of channels — or run the 24Ai standalone as a mixer.
